About this policy

Gorgeous Feather (“we”, “us” and “our”) uses personal information to operate gorgeousfeather.com, fulfil orders and support our customers. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, who receives it and the choices available to you when you browse, shop, create an account or contact us.

Our customer care team handles privacy questions and requests through our contact form. Start your message with “Privacy request” so it can be directed to the person responsible. This policy does not replace any rights you have under applicable privacy law.

Information we collect

When you place an order, we collect details such as your name, email address, billing and delivery addresses, telephone number where provided, purchased products, selected sizes and colours, and order and payment references. If you create an account, we also keep your account details and order history. Information you send in a contact message, return request or review is collected to handle that interaction.

When you use the website, technical information can include your IP address, browser and device details, pages and products viewed, referral source, cookie identifiers and interactions with the shop. Cookies and similar browser storage also support your cart, login, currency selection and favourites. We may receive payment confirmations, delivery updates and customer communications from the services involved in your order.

How we use information

We use information to process payments, fulfil and deliver orders, provide tracking updates, manage accounts, handle returns and refunds, answer questions and keep you informed about an order. We also use it to maintain the website, prevent fraud and spam, investigate security issues, meet tax and record-keeping obligations and resolve disputes.

Analytics and advertising information helps us understand how people find and use the shop, measure campaigns and improve product recommendations and advertising. Marketing emails or messages are separate from essential order communications. We send marketing where you have agreed or another permission under applicable law allows it; you can unsubscribe at any time.

Payments

Payments are handled through the payment options shown at checkout, including Stripe and other providers where offered. The provider processes the payment details you submit and may carry out fraud checks. We receive information needed to manage the transaction, such as payment status, transaction references and limited payment-method details. Please do not send full card numbers, card security codes or account passwords through our contact form.

Payment providers also explain their own processing in their privacy notices. You can read Stripe’s Privacy Policy and consult the notices linked by any other payment method you choose.

Service providers and other disclosures

We share information needed to provide our services with website hosting and maintenance providers, payment processors, email and customer support services, security and spam-prevention services, delivery carriers and fulfilment partners. Suppliers and fulfilment partners, including CJdropshipping where used for an order, receive the delivery and order details needed to prepare and ship your items.

Google and Meta integrations can receive information for the measurement and advertising purposes described below. We may also disclose information where required by law, to respond to a lawful request, protect people and the business, or handle a business transfer, subject to applicable privacy obligations. Not every provider needs your full customer record; the information involved depends on the service being supplied.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Cookies, local storage and similar technologies help the shop remember information between visits. Some are necessary for features such as cart and checkout, login and security. Others support preferences, usage measurement and advertising. Blocking necessary storage can prevent parts of the shop from working.

Where enabled, Google and Meta tools may receive page views, product views, cart and purchase events, order values, browser or device identifiers and referral information. Advertising features may also use contact details in a hashed form for matching and measurement when configured. Hashing changes the format of information; it does not necessarily make it anonymous. Providers may combine information with data from their own services under their privacy notices.

You can manage cookies and site storage in your browser and review Google’s Privacy Policy, Google’s advertising controls, Meta’s Privacy Policy and your Meta advertising preferences. Clearing storage may reset your choices, and choices may need to be made separately on each browser or device. Browser cookie controls do not necessarily stop server-side disclosures. Contact us to request an opt-out of applicable advertising uses. Where the law requires consent for optional processing, that consent must be obtained separately; this policy itself is not a request for consent.

International processing and delivery

We serve customers internationally. Information may be processed outside your province, state or country by hosting, payment, fulfilment, delivery and other service providers. Overseas processing and shipping may be necessary to complete your order. Information processed abroad can be subject to the laws and lawful access requirements of that country. You can contact us for more information about the providers involved in your order.

How long information is kept

We keep information for the purposes described in this policy and for applicable legal, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements. Order and payment records may need to remain after an account is closed or a deletion request is received. Account information is kept while the account is in use and for a justified period afterwards; support messages, security logs and marketing preferences are kept according to their purpose and any legal obligations.

Public reviews may remain while they are relevant to the product or website, unless removed or anonymised. Retention periods vary by the type of record and the provider involved. Contact us to ask about a particular record. Backups may retain copies until they are replaced through the normal backup cycle.

Your choices and privacy rights

You can update available account details in My account. To ask for access to personal information, correction, a copy, deletion, withdrawal of consent or another privacy right that applies to you, use our contact form. Include enough information to identify the account or order, but do not send identity documents unless we explain why verification is necessary. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing personal information.

Rights and exceptions depend on your location and the laws that apply. Customers in Canada, the United States, Australia and New Zealand may have access, correction, complaint or other rights under applicable local law. Where applicable, U.S. state privacy laws also provide rights to opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising, appeal a refused request, or use an authorised agent. Advertising disclosures can fall within those definitions even where no money is paid for the data. You can make these requests through our contact form.

We will consider requests within the time required by applicable law and explain any lawful limits. Deletion or withdrawal of consent may affect services that need that information, but does not remove records we must retain. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential order or security messages. You may also raise a complaint with the privacy regulator responsible for your location.

Reviews and third-party services

If you submit a product review or public comment, the name you choose and its content may be displayed publicly. Do not include private order details, addresses or payment information in a public review. Review and comment submissions may be checked for spam, and external profile-image services may process identifiers where those features are used.

If you follow a social link, use a social platform’s shopping features, open an external payment service or interact with embedded third-party content, that service may collect information under its own privacy notice. This policy covers Gorgeous Feather’s handling of information; it does not control those independent services.

Security and children

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information and services involved. No online system can guarantee complete security. Keep your login details private and contact us if you believe your account or information has been misused.

The shop is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s information for marketing. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review it and take appropriate action.

Changes and contacting us

We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The updated date appears at the top. Where required, we will give additional notice or seek consent for a material change in how personal information is used.

For privacy requests, concerns or a copy of this policy in another accessible format, contact Gorgeous Feather customer care through our contact form and begin your message with “Privacy request”.
